Digital Exocad Design

At Florida Digital Implants, we use digital exocad software to create surgical guides as well as design implant size and shape. This is done by utilizing CAD/CAM technology to create virtual mockups of your teeth, allowing us to see the finished implant before we ever get started. This allows you to know exactly what the new tooth will look like before we start treatment.

CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) is a versatile technology that can be used in a variety of restorative treatments. Using CAD/CAM technology, our skilled dentist and dental laboratories can design and create restorations of various sizes and shapes to custom build the smile of your dreams. We can create crowns, bridges and full-mouth restorations as well as plan more precise and effective treatments to meet your needs.

The digital workflow is as follows:

Initial Consultation

• Comprehensive oral examination, including:
  • Digital intraoral scan
  • Digital X-rays
  • Digital CT scan
• Records sent to laboratory for digital design

Visit 2

• Patient returns to approve design
• Surgical guides ordered from computer models

Visit 3

• Implant place and/or
• Site preparation, including:
  • Tooth extraction (if needed)
  • Bone grafting (if needed)

Visit 4

• Placement of the implant restoration, such as crown, bridge or denture
